A recent car accident involved three vehicles and sent seven individuals to the hospital. Police say that the crash occurred in Jersey City on a recent Saturday in April. The accident occurred just before 12:30 p.m., when a car going the wrong way on a one-way county road and collided with a box truck. The box truck then T-boned the car, before striking another vehicle. When emergency crews arrived, they found the 28-year-old driver and her 33-year-old male front seat passenger both trapped in the car, while a 3-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy who had been riding in the back seat were able to exit the vehicle before the police arrived.
The 29-year-old male driver of the box truck reportedly suffered leg pain, while the 60-year-old Parsippany driver of the third vehicle suffered significant leg injuries. Additionally, the third vehicle’s 49-year-old Parsippany female passenger complained of general pain. All seven individuals were taken to a local medical center to be treated for their injuries.
The driver of the first car received a summons for careless driving and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Those injured in this collision may decide to pursue civil claims against the wrong-way driver in a New Jersey civil court.
