New Jersey motorcycle accidents: Motorcyclist injured in crash

On Behalf of Fishman & Fishman, LLC | Jun 29, 2017 | Motorcycle Accidents |

Police in New Jersey are investigating the cause of a recent crash between a motorcycle and a car. This incident is said to have occurred in Galloway Township on Tuesday, June 27. When motorcycle accidents are the result other drivers’ negligence, the victims of such wrecks may seek compensation for their losses through legal means.

It was recently reported that, a 30-year-old male was operating his motorcycle eastbound on Tilton Road when the driver of a car — a 45-year-old woman — attempted a left-hand turn in front of him. The motorcyclist had nowhere to go and struck the side of the vehicle. He was thrown from his bike and seriously injured. He was transported to a hospital for care.

The driver of the car and her two passengers, including her 6-year-old grandson, were also injured in the wreck despite wearing seat belts. There were taken to various medical centers for treatment. It is unknown if any criminal charges are pending in this case.

While the motorcyclist is expected to recover, there is no saying how his injuries will affect him long term. He may fully recover, or he may suffer pain or disability for the rest of his life. There is no doubt that this incident will take a toll on him physically, but it can also have psychological and financial effects as well. This individual and other New Jersey residents who are injured in motorcycle accidents like this one may pursue personal injury claims in civil court in an effort to seek relief for any damages sustained.
