Car accidents in New Jersey often happen in the blink of an eye but their ramifications can last much longer. Sometimes it is not immediately clear who is really at fault, especially when right-of-way accidents occur. However, determining fault is rarely difficult when drunk driving accidents occur.

A recent drunk driving accident resulted in the injury of three people. It occurred on a night in early June in Wall, New Jersey. According to the authorities, a 25-year-old man crossed the center line of traffic and collided with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

The drunk driver escaped the accident unscathed. However, three people in the other car were not so lucky and were taken to a local medical center to be treated for their injuries. The accident investigation is still being conducted, but the drunk driver will be facing a slew of charges, including driving while intoxicated as well as three separate counts of assault by auto.

Car accidents are an unfortunate part of life for many motorists every year in New Jersey. When drunk driving accidents occur that result in the injury of another person or their property, the victims are often left with many unanswered questions. Between damages to their vehicle and medical bills, it can be a thoroughly overwhelming experience in a person’s life. An experienced personal injury lawyer can not only answer any and all questions that might come up but can also help the victims seek possible financial compensation for damages incurred in the accident to let the victim move on in his or her life.
