A family is in shock after learning that their loved ones perished following a horrific crash recently. This family will never be the same because of this tragedy on a New Jersey highway. Fatal car accidents can have an emotional impact on families for years following the incident.

Authorities say the accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. A 52-year-old husband and his 50-year-old wife were in traffic on the northbound on Route 130 when a sedan slammed into the rear of their van. The impact forced the minivan over the guardrail and into the icy waters of the lake below. Multiple fire departments and rescue squads were dispatched to help in the life-saving efforts.

Investigators say their life-saving efforts were unsuccessful after they pulled the occupants from the water. The couple was transported to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro where they were pronounced dead. There are no reports on the condition of the 29-year-old sedan driver. Officials from the police department and Prosecutors Office are investigating whether criminal behavior played a part in the collision. They continue to investigate the crash and are asking for witnesses to please contact them.

An entire family has had their lives forever changed in an instant. Fatal car accidents are an emotional burden for loved ones to endure after losing their loved ones. Financial strains from funeral costs and other expenses can be unbearable for some families. If negligence can be proven, a personal injury attorney incisive about New Jersey laws may be able to establish a case and seek compensation.
