Injuries a typical result in car accidents in New Jersey

Car accidents in New Jersey seem to be a part of everyday life. Even though many car accidents do not result in serious injury to either party, there can still be a great many things to process in the aftermath. Regardless of the affect, those involved may have legal recourse as a result of the accident.

A two-car collision occurred recently in the middle of May. A 77-year-old man was driving in Weehawken and could not stop in time and ended up rear-ending a 31-year-old man. The older driver sustained a serious head injury, and when the police arrived, he was unconscious. He was taken to a local medical center and was listed as being in stable condition the day after.

Six other people were injured in the collision. According to authorities, the younger driver had five passengers in his car, one of which was a 4-year-old who was not properly secured in a car seat. They were all taken to a local medical center where they were treated for minor injuries.

Car accidents like these in New Jersey can leave both parties involved shaken. If negligence is found to be the cause of this accident, the victims might be able to recoup some of their financial losses due to medical bills and damages sustained to their vehicle. The victims in this case might choose to contact an experienced personal injury lawyer who is well-versed in these types of situations and can not only answer their questions, but serve as a helpful guide to help them through the process in regards to their rights.
