New Jersey car accidents: Several injured in multi-vehicle crash

A crash in New Jersey involving a car, an ambulance and a semi truck resulted in several people suffering injuries. This incident reportedly occurred in Carlstadt on Friday, Aug. 12. When car accidents with injuries occur, according to state laws, the victims may have legal recourse.

Carlstadt and New Jersey State Police responded to this multi-vehicle collision which occurred on Washington Ave. It is believed that the driver of a minivan attempted a left-hand turn in front of the ambulance, causing the ambulance driver to swerve into oncoming traffic. As a result, the ambulance is said to have struck a car and a semi-trailer. At the time of the news report, the exact number of people believed to have been hurt in the incident was unknown. The current conditions of the injured were not reported.

As of right now, there are a lot of unknowns about this accident. Law enforcement authorities are still in the process of investigating. At this time, it has not been reported if any charges are pending against any of the drivers involved.

Multi-vehicle car accidents often have numerous victims. In this case, possibly four to five people were hurt and required transport to the hospital for treatment. These individuals may be entitled to pursue legal actions against the party deemed responsible for this incident. Through personal injury and any other applicable legal claims, compensation for any and all recoverable damages — such as lost wages, medical expenses and pain and suffering — may be sought.
